San Martín de Hidalgo draws inspiration from its namesake- the town of San Martín de Hidalgo in Jalisco, Mexico- named in honor of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, a Mexican Roman Catholic priest and a leader of the Mexican War of Independence.

The crystal-clear glass bottles for San Martin de Hidalgo Tequila are produced in partnership with world-class French glassmaker Saverglass, in Jalisco, and the tequilas are distilled at an environmentally responsible facility.
